My favorite was the year I met my now ex husband. He has a flaky selfish sister who told her little boys there was no Santa then she went out and bought herself and her husband expensive gifts. (keep in mind drugs and alcohol help her make all of her decissions)
Anyway on Christmas Day Jack asked the boys what Santa brought and they replied nothing, he joked and tryied to get it outta them until his mom gave him a 'knock it off' look and we heard what happend. So here is where the fun began, I wrote the kids a letter from Santa in fancy caligraphy writting so they couldn't pin it on anyone. Telling them I couldn't find there house, so I needed them to sleep at uncle Jacks on New Years eve so I could deliver there gifts. We then notified different family members and went shopping. On New Years eve we took the boys for a drive and showed them all the Christmas lights that were still on and told them those were the houses that Santa missed. We stopped at one house that had lots of decorations in there yard and Jack got out with Martin (the oldest boy, around 4 at the time) to let him take a closer look. The door opened and the lady who lived there came out, when Jack explained that Santa had missed there house too and was coming tonight the women told Martin that Santa had already been there and he left him a gift. She brought out a little coffee mug with a stuffed toy inside all wrapped up in celo wrap. Martin was thrilled, he came back to the car jumped in the back and hurried to show me what he got, then he said "I feel all warm inside" sooooo stinking cute and it still brings tears to my eyes. The next morning was Christmas for Martin and Preston (only 1 at the time) and Santa had LOTS of prestent for them, we had a wonderful second Christmas with the boys and it will always be one of my favorites..
Please share your wonderful Christmas stories here as well.
Hugs and Happy Holidays!
